Nne Christiana Udo became a lawyer in 1993. She obtained a law degree in 1992 from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and a Master’s degree in Business and Commercial law in 2006, from the Bayero University Kano, Nigeria.
After relocating to Canada in 2009, Christiana received her Certificate of Qualification in 2012. This achievement was followed by years of searching out new opportunities, moving across the country and writing even more exams and processing countless amounts of paperwork. Christiana was exempted for pursuing articles based on her years of experience globally and became admitted as a member of the Law society of Upper Canada in 2014. From there, she transferred her membership to the Law Society of Alberta and has continued to practice in the province since then.
Christiana started Thebil Family Law in 2014, fuelled by the hardships that she has encountered along the way and driven by a fierce determination to make society better. In fighting for her clients, Christiana brings the same doggedness and commitment that enabled her to achieve her goals to practice in Canada, alone at the time with three young children.
Christiana is married and has three boys. She loves to make new friends, loves to encourage and help people find hope. One of her favourite things to do is make people smile.
Stella is a client focused lawyer who turns complex issues into clear workable plans. She digs into the details and solves problems efficiently with her excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
She earned her law degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigerian and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2013. She is also a member of the Law Society of Alberta. Stella has championed the rights of women and children in the course of her career and continues to contribute to impactful legal advocacy,
Stella is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, Association of Women’s Lawyers (Calgary) and Criminal Trial Lawyers” Association (Alberta), Family counsel.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies and spending time with family,
Harriette holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Hull, England and a Master’s degree from the University of Reading, England. She brings eight years of experience spanning family law, alternative dispute resolution, policy research, drafting and corporate law.
Harriette began her legal career as a legal consultant with the World Bank Group culminating into a legal experience from two jurisdictions-England and Nigeria.
Harriette has worked with people from all walks of life and has the unique ability to listen attentively, explain complex matters in plain language and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
Harriette is a member of the Association of Women lawyers, and also a member of the Canadian Association of Black lawyers.
Outside of work, she enjoys binge-watching espionage thrillers, travelling and spending quality time with her family.
Ola brings over 10 years of legal experience across family law and various practice areas as an internationally trained lawyer.
Ola began her legal career as junior counsel and appeared in various levels of courts, she proceeded to being a legal counsel and later served as General counsel to two financial technology companies where she led corporate governance , negotiation and compliance initiatives.
Since relocating to Canada she has continued to build her legal experience in family law including volunteering her service as Calgary Legal Guidance (Dial A- law)
Outside of work, Ola enjoys reading, travelling and exploring nature with her family.
Joshua holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Lethbridge. He is currently in law school at the University of Leicester. He enjoys working out and spends his spare time assisting people with developmental disabilities.
Awa Udo is the Business Manager of THEBIL-LEGAL in charge of the office Operations, which includes all Paralegal assignments and the Company Book keeping & Accounts.
He is also a realtor. He is with the eXp Realty Limited as a Residential Realtor concentrating in Alberta, particularly in Calgary. He is very willing to help newcomers into the city Calgary purchase their first homes as well as those who would want to resale their existing property or properties for good money.
Awa was born in Nigeria on May 28, 1964. He graduated from the University of Calabar and Bayero University Kano, in Nigeria in June 1991 and 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and master’s in business administration respectively. He remained in Nigeria where he worked as a Banker for over 20 years until 2012.
David is currently studying communications at MacEwan University. When not working, David is an avid gamer and enjoys playing soccer.
Precious expertly serves as the Human Resource/ Front Desk Administrator at Thebil Legal, where she plays a crucial role in managing the firm's HR and Front Office Operations. She is responsible for the firm's HR policies, onboarding, employee relations, compliance and daily front office operations. Precious holds a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and communication studies and is currently pursuing her Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource and certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).With several years of experience in Human Resource Management and an understanding of needs of a law firm ,she is committed to promoting a supportive and inclusive workplace towards ensuring that all employees have the resources they need to succeed. Her keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and strategic approach plays a crucial role in the firm's success. Precious enjoys travelling to new places for vacation and enjoys watching movies with impressive graphics and animation.
